3 Hair Care Tips for Healthy Hair Growth

Tip 1: Use Conditioner Correctly

Conditioner should complement, not conflict, with your shampoo. After shampooing, massage conditioner into the ends and up to the roots but avoid directly touching the scalp. This hydrates the lengths without making the roots greasy. Comb the product through with a wide-tooth comb to evenly distribute.

Select a conditioner formulated for your hair type. Fine, straight hair needs lightweight moisture so look for words like “volume” on the bottle. Coarse or curly hair needs more intense hydration from a formula with “moisture” or “repair”. Let the conditioner soak in for a minute or more before rinsing so it can sink in. Use cool water for the final rinse to seal in moisture. Proper conditioner use makes hair silky smooth! You can use Mamaearth Rosemary oil for hair growth.

Tip 2: Treat Your Scalp

It’s easy to focus solely on the hair but a healthy scalp is key to optimal hair health. Buildup, dryness, and irritation on the scalp can all trigger issues like dandruff and hair loss. Use a scalp brush when shampooing to exfoliate and boost circulation. Look for shampoos with clarifying ingredients like charcoal to dissolve product residue.

You can also give your scalp some TLC with a weekly treatment. Look for options containing ingredients like tea tree, peppermint, or apple cider vinegar to remove buildup. For an easy DIY, mix equal parts olive oil and castor oil and massage into the scalp. The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties soothe the scalp. A pampered scalp means healthy hair growth!

Tip 3: Watch Product Use

Heavy products like oils, creams, and serums quickly build up in the hair, making it appear greasy and limp. Those with fine hair need to be particularly cautious about product use. Apply styling products in small amounts, focusing application on the middle to ends of hair rather than the roots. Those with very oily hair may even need to avoid the roots altogether.

Clarify periodically to remove any product accumulation. A weekly apple cider vinegar rinse helps dissolve residue. Look for clarifying shampoos with ingredients like charcoal, citric acid or sulfates to deep clean. Limiting products and clarifying regularly prevents flat, dirty looking hair.
